Successfully culminates the seminar “A touch to the meaning, let’s listen to the heart” directed to approximately 100 Panamanian education professionals, among whom were teachers, counselors, psychopedagogical cabinets and SAE groups, dictated by Scholas with the support of the National Directorate of Orientation of the Ministry of Education of Panama, Meduca.

This seminar was born out of the socio-emotional needs of students, teachers and parents due to the prolonged confinement due to the pandemic. For this reason, Scholas in conjunction with the Ministry of Education of Panama developed synchronous and asynchronous modules for 5 weeks, where professionals had the opportunity to learn the use of techniques and tools based on listening, participation and play, which they will be able to apply with their students in virtual or face-to-face classes, allowing more playful spaces and joint collaboration.

At the end of the day, the participation of the national deputy director of education, Victoria Tello, highlighted: “Living these types of experiences gives them practical tools to positively impact the lives of children and young people. We thank Scholas for this initiative, because we know that it creates more dynamic and exciting spaces, as the program says, we learn to listen to the hearts of the students ”.

Scholas is an international organization that promotes an education for life itself, through this training it seeks to rethink the role of the teacher by placing the student at the center of the learning process.

“We teachers don’t know everything and that is the beauty of it, that we dedicate ourselves to being artisans of humanity; for this I congratulate them, because they fight to go to the end and keep faith in the young people whom they constantly help in their classrooms, ”said José María del Corral, Scholas world director.

Additionally, there was the participation of teachers, who had the opportunity to share their experiences. “I had not experienced such a dynamic interaction virtually, thank you for this beautiful work that you are carrying out; today a new Tania is discovered who keeps the license to be a child and connect even more with her students ”, highlighted Tanía Smith.

After having a collaboration agreement, Scholas Occurrentes works collaboratively with Meduca in the implementation of educational programs to contribute to the development and future of thousands of young people and education professionals in Panama.
