  • SCHOLAS CITIZENSHIP

This is the Scholas' founding experience. For six days, between two hundred and four hundred youths from different schools in a same community meet get together to choose two problems that affect them on a daily basis. After deepening the problems, they are responsible for creating solutions that they present to local authorities on the last day.
  • GAME, ART AND THOUGHT SCHOOLS

After meeting at Scholas Citizenship as a foundational educational experience, this second stage presents young people the possibility of starting a path as educators, sharing their passions and learning with others. Young people discover the pedagogical view of Scholas and learn educational methodologies to put into practice in their community.
  • “_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _”

There is no mistake in the title ... This experience cannot be described in words, so it does not have a preset name. Young people meet to inhabit the time and the period of childhood. From the game, dialogue, painting, writing and photography they rediscover reality as a “donation”, regaining its capacity for wonder. A new, unique work will come alive.
  • SCHOLAS ART

Art has always been the language of human beings to express their deepest contradictions, their most profound feelings, their highest thoughts and most original questions. It’s been the place for knowing oneself and discover the unknown
  • SCHOLAS PAINTING

The different plastic art experiences underscore the creative process over the result. They share the search for one’s own expression, traces, color, composition and narrative. Creativity is understood as the result of living an experience, an encounter.
  • SCHOLAS MUSIC

The experience brings together young people from different neighborhoods and social realities to compose and record songs in order to enhance their voice, put music to their stories and lyrics to their dreams. The program is aimed at young people who show an artistic inclination, coming from different contexts.
  • SCHOLAS SPORT

The purpose of Scholas is to help young people live their passion by reclaiming the origin of sports and games, and rediscovering it as an education path and school for life. Sports help develop the social aspects of beings, teaches how to play with others and to prioritize common good over one’s own good.
  • FutVal

Football teaches to relate work in teams and prioritize the common good over their own. FutVal seeks to harmonize the development of children and youth in vulnerable contexts and involve them with the reality of their communities. To "put into play" resilience, respect, honesty, effort and solidarity spirit.
  • BoxVal

Through the teaching of various boxing techniques, learning experiences are generated linked to values that are at stake: overcoming, effort, respect, companionship. An educational experience that moves to other aspects of the lives of young people and children in vulnerable situations.
  • SCHOLAS SURF

In Tofo, Mozambique, hundreds of children and young people in vulnerable situations have found a place of belonging to learn to swim and surf. A space for play, art and thought: a new opportunity for life, on the waves.
  • TRAINER SCHOOLS

Scholas develops workshops and training experiences aimed at physical education professionals, coaches of sports teams in the formal or informal field, with the aim of disseminating, implementing and multiplying their methodologies.
  • SCHOLAS TECHNOLOGY

Technology is another language in the construction of a culture of the encounter, so Scholas proposes innovative programs and methodologies to students and educational communities, taking technology as the basis for finding solutions to real problems.
  • SCHOLAS LABS

Experience that brings together students and technology entrepreneurs committed to innovation and education, to create solutions to some of the most urgent needs of a community. Its axes are Scholas Labs Jam and the Scholas Labs Incubation Program.
  • UNIVERSITY OF MEANING

Educational program in which young people, adults and the elderly of all ethnicities groups, creeds and social classes meet through virtual encounters cultivating and exercising listening, creation and celebration, focusing on life.
  • WEZUM

After listening to youngsters across the world, Scholas created Wezum, a youth international observatory aimed at analyzing the deep causes lying behind the main problems affecting teenagers.
  • SCHOLAS SOCIAL

This digital platform facilitates the integration of more than 500,000 educational institutions and networks to share experiences, methodologies and projects, give them visibility, facilitate cooperation and their inclusion in a global context.
  • SCHOLAS CHAIRS

Scholas Chairs are spaces for reflection and action connected by a large network where every individual (professors, researchers, students) is enriched by the encounter with others, through links that develop between the different universities, schools and projects of Scholas.Social. Currently the program brings together a network of 100 universities and 35 observer organizations.
  • SCHOLAS LAUDATO

For an education connected to the land, its fruits and the communities that depend on it. The world is indebted to conceive an education that incorporates sustainability as a fundamental dimension. Scholas seeks to encourage citizen participation of young people in the light of environmental ethics, in other words, in the care of the "common home".
  • SCHOLAS ORCHARDS

This program brings together students from rural and agro-technical schools to work together for the environment. It puts into practice the creation of agroecological gardens that allow young people and their communities to produce their own food and understand first-hand the cycles of nature and the foundations of healthy eating.
  • COMMON HOME

This project, worked in common with the Scout movement, responds with an "Always ready!" to the call of Pope Francis to take care of our "common home". Young people from schools in different socio-economic contexts, and Scout groups, work to cope with the socio-environmental crisis that affects our planet.

In Scholas we dream of an education that
-opening ourselves to the encounter with the other– returns us the contact with life to,
from there, create a new world.
