“Voces de Chile: Youth voices in the constituent process”, was born from a desire of two institutions, Scholas Occurrentes Chile and Universidad Católica Silva Henríquez, to create spaces for dialogue for the participation of adolescents and young people for construction solidarity, dignity and fair in Chile.
As a society, Chile is undergoing processes of profound changes that challenge its fellow citizens to dream and build fraternal and inclusive relationships. For these processes to be truly meaningful and transformative, the participation of everyone is required, not only in the formal instances of Chilean representative democracy – exercising the right to vote – but also activating community participation at different levels.
The processes that Chile is currently experiencing as a society would not have been possible without the stubborn hope of its adolescents and young people who decided to do their best to start this path allowing themselves to dream of a new Chile that collects the best it has and transform what it has impeded look at each other as sisters and brothers.
“Voces de Chile” seeks to be a space for listening, dialogue and participation of adolescents and young people in the construction of this new stage of the country, contributing their views and proposals to those who will deliberate the new constitution.
