Education and Ecology
Re-creating virtual spaces of being together

From the ecological perspective of the Encyclical letter “Laudato Si”, everything happening in the world is seen as deeply interconnected and mutually influencing. Politics, economy, culture, societies, religion, individual life choices, recipricollay affect each other as well as the scarce resources we have on the planet and the status of the environment we live in.

The Encyclical letter insists on the need to develop an educational path, a new cultural approach, in order to revert the current civilizational tendences and re-establish the equilibrium between nature and human beings’ lifestyle.

The challenge is thus recognized as an educational challenge, and this virtual meeting is focused in this direction. It calls for youth which can spread an ethics of ecology that will contribute to the growth of people in terms of caring, solidarity, responsibility and compassion.
